Pictures

Oh funny story about the bus ride they tried to drop me off at what they called Sicuani (because Sicuani is between Puno and Cusco) and it was the middle of no where. I got lucky because they didn't want to take my bags off so I had to go to Cusco and then back to Sicuani but these pictures are of what it looked like when they tried to drop me off. That would of been fun! Oh and there is one of me and Elder Green.

A Sad Good-Bye

Mom

What a crazy week!!!!!!!!!

So guess what I'm not in Puno anymore!!!!! I know right. I'm in Sicuani. So yeah. What happened was Monday like 3 hours after I e-mailed y'all the zone leaders called and said I have an emergency transfer.... so here I am in Sicuani. My new comp is Elder Gomez he's from chile and he's pretty cool. We are having a little bit of a language problem but other than that we are doing great it's cool my Spanish is improving so much and I get to teach him English it's fun trying to figure out what hes saying. Now Elder green has his old comp in Puno. I do have to say I was super sad to leave Puno. I didn't realize how much I loved Puno the people and Elder Green until I had to leave on Tuesday. So yeah that's this week for yah. Fun story about contacting on Saturday. we knocked a door and this guy basically started yelling at us from a second story window telling us we don't believe in the bible and you can't get baptized a second time even though in acts there are stories about people being baptized twice. So that was fun.

Well love you all,

Elder Kotter

PS Pray for Elder Gomez his mom died like a week before the transfer he's doing ok but sometimes he isn't ok.

Happy!

Mom

Sounds like life really is going awesome.

So today I'm like super tired because we had to wait for the transfers until like 12:30 in the morning and guess what we found out..............wait for it.............
Elder green will be here in Puno and I will be in............ Puno too. Another transfer with Elder Green here in Puno! We are excited we couldn't believe it though.

So we get until December 31 til the next transfer. It seems so long away but it really isn't.

Well I wish I could give some good news about the work of salvation but it keeps going slow, but patience in all things will bring the blessings of heaven. We are just chugging along and hopefully we will find somebody who will progress in an timely manner.

I can't believe the family is getting so big. It seems like yesterday when it wasn't so big and that the grandchildren stopped but now the great grandchildren are starting to come.

Have an awesome week and keep inviting people to activities church and FHE. Don't be scared because fear is the opposite of faith. Be BOLD and I know that you will help people come unto the waters of baptism and don't forget the less actives. Try to make it a goal to invite just one person to church whether they are non member or less active just try to get someone to church. We all need ordinances because we all need the sacrament so try to find someone who needs an ordinance and get them to the church.

Love.

Elder Kotter

DAD

Wow 2 Packages y'all are crazy!!!!!!!! I'm not complaining though hahahaha. So we had transfers this week and Elder Green and I are here for another 6 weeks. I'm Glad for that because then the holidays wont feel so weird I'll be with a gringo and have some of the same things to talk about.

Dad keep being awesome. Know that y'all are in my prayers and I cant wait for Christmas.

I can't believe that Shae is doing all these things. Mom sent me pictures and sometimes I don't really recognize her very well. Where is time going.

Dad I love you so much,

Elder Kotter

11/11/13

Hey mom

Life seems to be going awesome!!!! I'm glad y'all are doing fun super awesome things. We are doing good here in Puno. We still are getting along and I really do love the people here. I just hope the work picks up its super slow and investigators progress super slow because we can't find them, but we do have a promise from the mission president that Puno is about to explode so that helps us get through the days. Don't get me wrong I love doing the work and I've never been happier I just wish I was helping more people. So in other news this week we will be eating cuy (guinea pig). I will show you what that is once we eat it. I think you would find it very tasty. For Christmas really if you can get a Santa hat in there that would be awesome but really anything y'all send would be great. We got to serve our ward mission leader this week and help him carry an oven. That was super fun.

Keep being awesome and I love the pictures send more oh and more pics in the Christmas package.

Love
Elder Kotter

ps This picture is at a chicken restaurant it was Elder P's one year mark in the mission so we went to go celebrate. They make super good rotisserie chicken here!!!!!

11/4/13

Mom

Sounds like life is going awesome for y'all I can't believe it's already November and tomorrow I will have 5 months in the mission! 5!!!!!!!!!!!!! It seems like just yesterday I was a scared little kid in the MTC and its already now been 5 months. I love all the pictures keep sending them please and make sure there are pictures in the package too. Pictures of everything!!!!! I love the the bathroom it looks awesome!!!! And yes it's cold but luckily it's summer here so it only gets cold when it gets cloudy and starts to rain which kinda happens a lot because its also the rainy season. Well the work still moves slow but I think it's just like a big rock we just need to push hard enough until it rolls and then it will go by itself. Elder Green and I are really trying to find really small things that we lack or aren't being 100% obedient with so we can improve and get more blessings. I hope y'all are doing well. Did nobody go trick or treating and was Shelby too cool to dress up and what about you and dad. No costumes man I leave and all of a sudden everyone is too cool to have fun except for Shae. Well let's see stories....this week we got to help this really old guy who lives in a tiny little house about the size of our living room get to the church so he could get his temple recommend so he could be sealed to his wife. That was awesome. This brother can't really see or hear and he has a fake leg that he got like 43 years ago. Hes like 71 years old. It was so awesome to help him and his wife become an eternal family even if it was something so simple as helping him walk out of his house down a hill to a taxi. That's what the work is really all about helping out our brothers and sisters.

I love you all so much,

Elder Kotter

ps please please please help the elders and sisters in our ward give them references then go with them.

Dad

It seems like an awesome week. I so badly miss the temple and I wish we had one in our mission. I can't wait for that day when they announce one in the Cusco Peru Mission. I think that's awesome that elder Walton wrote to y'all. I bet he is doing miracles there in Washington and Kotter cookies are freaking awesome hahhahaha. I can't wait till I come home and can get a fresh batch from the oven and I won't even care if they burn my tongue. I know when I get home I will get so fat because I will be so food deprived hahahahha. I'm not hungry I just crave stuff like a hamburger. I also really want some bacon because one of the mission rules is no pig. I hope that they change that. Well keep those in the ward in your prayers and please find one person you can give to the missionaries and then help them out with the lessons. It makes the work so much easier.

Elder Kotter

Oh yeah I love y'all so much!!!
