Changes

Mom

So this week ended up being super crazy. First off, you know how I told you how no one had a transfer, well that was a lie. My comp elder Calle actually did have a transfer it just didn't show up on the email like it should have. So now my comp is Elder Braynt yup another gringo, but I still don't really know him that well because I went to Lima on Wednesday. I was there until Friday and got back on Saturday. It was awesome in Lima I got to eat Papa Johns, KFC and burger king. It was great but the most important part is that I am almost legal and I got to go to the temple. It was crazy how long it's been since I've gone and it was awesome. It was really cool. Unfortunately, my trip really slowed down the missionary work because all of the appointments we had failed because my new comp didn't know anything about Espinar. Another crazy thing that happened. Last night we were getting ready to go to bed and the zone leaders called the other companionship and they say that Elder Palomino has a emergency change. He was our district leader. He became a zone leader and now the zone leaders said that I'm the district leader........ yeah crazy right. So that's the update for this week. Lots of changes. I love y'all so much and hope your doing good.

Elder Oaks and More Videos

MOM

So this week I don't have a lot to talk about with the missionary work because a lot of things happened. So we were working Tuesday and Wednesday like normal just minding our own business when our district leader tells us we will be traveling to Cusco tomorrow (Thursday) for something very important. He said that Elder Oaks of the quorum of the 12 apostles will be coming to Cusco. Yup that's right ELDER OAKS!!!!!!!! He came and talked to us. I also got to shake his hand. It was an awesome experience. He talked about a whole bunch of stuff but more than anything I felt that he was an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ. The second best part is we got to eat in Cusco. I got some KFC so I was pretty happy about that. So Thursday and Friday were spent in traveling and listing to Elder Oaks. Saturday nothing happened either because of a festival called K anmarka. So everyone was out there dancing and drinking so Espinar was empty. But it doesn't matter everything is going good. Today is the transfers and none of us has transfers so another 6 weeks here. I'm glad school is going good. Keep up the good grades and don't give up even if it gets hard. Tell dad to get a blessing but he has to ask for it. Tell him the priesthood works and we should never be too proud to get a blessing because it is meant to be used.

I love y'all so much and can't wait to see y'all again.

Videos!!!!

Stephen sent us a few videos from his time in Sicuani and in Espinar!!  He looks great and it is so good to hear his voice!!  Enjoy!!

munaki manamunaki warmimi kanki

For those who don't know Stephen is learning some Quechua this is the phrase he's got down the best, it means:

Whether you like it or not you're going to be my woman!!!

Ok.....I think that is super helpful for your mission!!!   This week's letter comes with TONS of pictures and some videos!!  I'll put the videos in a separate post!!

MOM

Well this week went by super fast I cant believe I really did hit my year mark that's so crazy!!!!!!! I also can't believe I'm almost 20.  it seems like yesterday I was turning 19.  SO this week went by super fast like every week seems to. We are just doing the work. We reactivated a member and are in the process of reactivating two sisters Cithina and Isis. They both joined the church in like 2001.
They have been coming to church recently and we want to keep that up.
We found a new investigator named Julio. He is a boyfriend of a member. He had received the lessons before but never got baptized.
Recently, he broke his leg so bad that he can't even leave his bed for 6 months. Crazy right. So he asked for a Book of Mormon to read because he has like forever to do nothing. We also gave him all the pamphlets we give out. I'm excited to teach him especially since he can't escape for 6 months it really makes things easier.  Well I hope everything is going good with y'all. Keep praying hard and get to work. We need all the help we can get as missionaries. it really is super tough to do the work with out members so help them out. I love y'all so much keep up the good work
