Happy New Year! TONS OF PICTURES!

Well this week was awesome getting to talk to y'all. It was happy and also a little sad. Sounds like this week was awesome for y'all. I'm glad that Memaw's funeral went good. I loved the pictures of the cave that is super cool!!!!!! So for me and Elder Gomez no transfers so the next transfer is Feb 11,2014!!! WOW it's 2014 in two days how crazy is that. I feel like I just got here and now its already 2014!!!!!! We have been working hard but this week just didn't fall into place very nicely I think it is because of Christmas everyone is super busy but now that Christmas is over I think everything will get back to normal. I really want to thank you mom and dad for the wonderful example you have been in my life. Thank you for always living the gospel and being a great example to me. I think that is why I learned to love the Lord is because I had awesome parents like y'all. I love you all so much and I'm going to be sending lots of pictures so get ready.

Hey dad how are you doing. I'm doing good. I just wanted to say sorry... I remembered a time in my life where I said I didn't want to be like you at all. I bet that really hurt you but now I know I want to be like you in as many ways possible because you really are my hero. I want to live my life like you have. I'm sorry for those hurtful words i said to you not so long ago. (parental side note Kendal doesn't even remember this conversation so it must only be bothering Stephen)

Hey what's going on!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like life is going great for y'all!!!!! I love the missionary blanket that y'all made. I can't wait to call y'all this week but I do need to know one thing. I'm trying to remember my Skype user name I think I can remember the password but not the user name. Ok so Shelby's hair is soooooo long and Shae is all grown up I can't believe it. Well this week we had some success. We had about 5 less actives in church and one of them brought there girl friend so that's awesome. We are doing lots of work with less actives. We usually have 3 or 4 more lessons with less actives than with investigators. Peru is going great and Ill talk to y'all in two days.

Stephen's Great Grandmother passed away early Sunday morning December 22nd. This is a letter he wrote to his Grandpa Sutton.

Hey, how are y'all doing. I just got the news that Memaw died. I know that it's sad but I know now she is in a better place. I know that she will live again and I know that we can live together forever as a family. I know these things to be true with all my heart. I don't know many things in fact the things I don't know out number the things I know by about a billion but this I do know Jesus is the Christ and becasue of the atonement of Christ it is possible that we can have these blessing of immortality and eternal life. I love y'all so much and can't wait for the day I can see y'all again.

Just another week

Wow sounds like life is super busy for y'all. I cant believe we have only 9 days til Christmas I'm so excited. Well life for me is going good. We are having some really good success with less actives. For example we had a guy come to church who hadn't been there for like years. He wore a virgin Mary shirt but hey that's ok he came right. We hopefully will be able to rescue him. So I cant believe I got so many letters from the ward party. That's cool I cant wait to get them all. It might take a while but that's ok. For me time is going too fast. I cant believe I have 6 almost 7 months. Where did the time go? When you work hard for the Lord he really blesses you. I love y'all all so much. Tell everyone who wrote to me thanks!

What a great quote I love it. It's true. So I gave a talk yesterday. That was fun. It really was a fulfillment for the promise that in the very hour you will know what to say. I went up with no notes only my scriptures and I gave a 10 minute talk. Wow that was just so crazy. I cant believe what the Lord can do with us when we turn our lives over to him. I hope your back gets better. I really do. I want to do things with you when I get back like fishing. I love you dad

Wow sounds like your week was awesome.

Its really cool to see all the Christmas decorations and stuff. I love it. We are working hard. Sadly Elder Gomez was sick this week for like 3 days so that was kinda sad. But we did have an awesome teaching experience we were able to teach a young lady Monica and she is awesome. Since elder Gomez was sick our appointment fell through so we went on Friday to try to find her. She was there and happy to see us. She even introduced us to her friend and they both seem really interested. It's awesome. Sorry this week I forgot my camera so I don't really have photos. I think its awesome that Illeana is going on a mission she will do great things. I love you all so much. Oh we also changed rooms this week so that was cool. Love you all

Oh there is also an Elder here he's actually my district leader that says his dad served a mission in Atlanta. His dad says he knows Doyle Kotter's family. His name is Elder Aiono and I'm like the grandson of Doyle Kotter so yeah that's cool. So, it is true! Doyle Kotter's name is known worldwide. I came all the way to Peru and someone knows the Kotter name.
