Welcome to the Jungle!

Mom

So it sounds like everything is going awesome there in Georgia. I'm so glad y'all got the opportunity to work in the yard. That's what it is right an opportunity hahahahaha. So I got to put a couple of photos in Dropbox because we had to take a questionnaire this week  That day was probably the most exciting day I had in the mission. I took some videos and I'll let you find out what happened. I'm sure your momma bear instincts are going to go wild hahahaha.

So this week was kinda hard. we didn't have very much but I know next week is going to be AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! We had an invasion where all the missionaries from one sector go and work in one sector for a day looking for less actives. Well that happened and we basically got so many less actives to work with and a ton of new investigators that we have to contact. I'm super excited it will be an awesome week next week I'm so sure. We still are working hard and trying to do our best

So I got my package on Monday thanks so much. I loved the shoes. There is only one problem. Thursday we come back from lunch to go to the bathroom(we had been overly stuffed again) and we walk into our room and we notice it was a mess. Like messier than we left it. Turns out someone broke into our room and stole all of elder Freestones ties his shampoos and basically stuff like that. The thief also got my brand new shoes that I hadn't even worn yet............ So yeah. So yeah that was a pretty fun story.

I love y'all so much thanks for everything. I cant believe everyone is getting so big and I cant believe Matt Gerber is getting married. What the junk!!!!!!!!! Where did that come from.

I love y'all

Moving Day

Mom,

Wow, it sounds like you are doing so many good things. I don't know how you even have time to do all those things. Im super happy too becasue most of those things if not all rank at least in the better or best section. Keeping priorities straight is super important in life and it's something we have to constantly check. It sounds like you know that though.

I'm super happy that your college semester is going good. I'm so happy to say the phrase my mom goes to college. I'm so glad! I'm serious. Keep doing all those good things and keep getting those good grades. As for what you want to do when you grow up. I think that is an awesome idea. You could do awesome things with that I mean look at my life. You changed it by just loving me and guiding me. I think you will be an awesome Child Life Specialist.

Well this week was super awesome. So here are a few things that happened this week. Do you remember those crazy games like black magic and Grandpa Joe that we would play with the Gerber's and those missionaries? Well Elder Freestone knows those and more. So when ever we are walking he starts saying hey Elder Kotter I have a color wheel....... and well that's a new game. It drove me up the wall. Lucky he told me after about a week of torture but it was fun. It totally reminded me of the Gerber's. We also changed rooms. This new room is so much bigger and well I like it more and it's right next to the other missionaries. In other news I met a Heaton here in Peru. Yeah he is one of the other Elders in our sector. Even better he knows where Alton is. I'm pretty sure I just found a relative of Terry. I think he said his grandpa is Richard..... I don't remember but I think that's what he said. Most importantly The work is going awesomely. I love training because the lord really blesses the greenies. I don't know why but he trusts them more. We have been running around like chickens with our heads cut off for the past week. I don't know where all these people came from People just came out of the wood work.

Well mom I love you so much I cant wait til Christmas either.

My Greenie!!!!!

Mom

Well I can't believe the time has gone so fast. It's Halloween on Friday. Last Halloween I was with Elder Green my trainer and now look at this I'm training. Wow, crazy stuff. I also can't believe that Dad says you can trick or treat at any age. I feel so jipped gosh he's gone soft. Hahaha but he still has the real costume rule which is good I guess.

So this is the news all have been waiting for. Who is the new elder Elder Kotter will be training. Well his name is ....................... Elder Freestone. He's from  Utah or that area he said. He is fresh out of high school yeah 18 years old. It's in that moment where I felt really old cuz I have 20 years. It's like what the heck happened when did I get so flipping old. Well I'm sending a picture so you can see my new son.  It's awesome working with him. I'm remembering so many things that I forgot just from time. I think every missionary should train. It is probably one of the best things ever. It is hard because he cant speak much Spanish yet but I don't care I'm just happy to be with someone who has so much desire to work his tail off.

So Hans didn't get baptized but we are going to talk to his family and plan a day when we can do it. Elder Freestone his first day challenged one of our investigators and she said yes. That was an awesome experience for him. We challenged and she started to cry and was like I really want to do this. It was super cool. Her name is Allie she is the daughter of a less active we have been working with. It's so true when you rescue more and you baptize more.

I'm so happy you went out with the missionaries. Like I told you they basically peed their pants no. And I bet you are going to go out with them more now, no. Keep doing that. Even if you don't have a reference you can help the work of salvation by being the friends of the investigators that is just as important. So keep doing that.

Well I love you so much mom keep being awesome.

Love,

Elder Kotter

Dad

I just have to say I love training. I know it only has been a week and we have only had really like 2 day to work because of all the traveling, but it is awesome to work with someone who has so much desire to learn and work. It is also great to learn so much. Things that I had forgotten because of time. So I'm so happy I have this opportunity to be with Elder Freestone. I know what you mean about the pressure but I'm going to do my best and I know that the Lord will make up the rest. I learned that from p90x. And I am so ready to tear it up. We are going to do work all day every day. Thanks for the advice. I think I really needed it.

I love you a ton,
Elder Kotter
