Another Week Gone By

Mom

I'm doing great. I've gotten used to the heat and humidity of the jungle. It really is a lot like Georgia in summer just no air conditioning.  For p-day today we are going to go into the jungle and see what we can to see. It's going to be fun.  I do have a story for this week. We had a ward FHE last Thursday. It was like 5 miles out side of the city. So, we get there normal completely fine. We had the noche de hogar and it went good. The funny part was driving back. So i don't know why but we somehow lost transportation. We all got there fine but then when it was time to get back we found out that we didn't have enough space. So we ended up shoving like 6 people in a mototaxi and we go driving back to the city through the jungle while it's starting to rain and our head light was very dim. Basically I was thinking if something happened to the moto we were pretty much dead. But hey it was super fun.

We have tons of investigators. I don't know where they are coming from but people here seem to be way more at least open to listen to us. Even if they don't want anything to do with us they will still invite us in there houses. It's super cool. We are teaching like 3 families right now that's right FAMILIES that seem like they could progress. It really is a missionary's paradise here in the jungle.

So I didn't get new shirts because my comp thought of a smarter cheaper way. We just went to a place and they cut the sleeves and turned them into a short sleeve shirts. 4 soles for every shirt. That's like $1.20 for every shirt. Way better.

Let dad know I'm still praying for him and let him know I love him. I love you too mom!

I AM LEGAL

Mom

Hey! So This week has been soooo different from anything I have ever experienced in my life. First, I went to Lima and got completely legal. That's good, but then I get back and take an airplane from Lima to Puerto. I landed in the jungle of Peru. It was crazy. Its so hot and humid here but itss awesome too. I got here Friday so I don't really have to much to tell, but all I have to say is I sweat so much. Everyday I'm just sweating and sweating. It's crazy. Things are way different here, but what I'm most happy about is NO CHUÑO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's just crazy our mission. One day you can be freezing on top of a mountain and the next day you can be sweating your face off in the jungle. Gotta love it!!!!!!!!!!!

My comp is elder Lozano he's from Ecuador. He's pretty cool. He has 21 months in the mission so I will probably be his last comp because in 11 weeks he goes home. I'm in the branch La Cultura. It's going to be an awesome time here I know.

Uncle Terry is the bishop that's awesome!!!!!!!!! I know he will do a great job. I've realized here in Peru how much a bishop actually has to do and what happens in the ward. I know Uncle Terry will be a great bishop.

I can't believe school is already starting. Tell Shelby to enjoy her senior year. This is her year. Tell Shae to enjoy her 8th grade year. This is her year to have tons of fun because high school starts next year. Enjoy every minute of where you are at because you never know when things are going to change. I've learned that in the mission. Give the moment you are in your all.

Well I'll start praying for Austin. He'll get through this though. He's tough.

Sounds like y'all had a very....... fun anniversary. Maybe the next one will be in Peru.

Well I love y'all sooooo much just know I'm going to go to the end. Y'all do the same

Welcome to the Jungle!

Mom

Hey! So well first thing is first. This week is the transfers. I have a transfer. I'm going to Puerto Maldonado. That means I'll be going to the jungle!! So thanks for all that long underwear and hand warmers Elder Bryant will be enjoying them. I'm going to the zone almost everyone wants to go to. I'll be close to Brazil. So I'm pretty excited to get out of the cold. The transfer might be interesting because I'm going from the highest coldest part of the mission to the lowest hottest part of the mission. Elder Bryant will be training so I had to leave. It's kinda sad but I'm excited to for the change in scene. So I'm now going to what I thought my mission would be.

I can't believe that school is starting again. I remember when y'all started last school year it was like yesterday, and now another one is here. So this week was super hard because of Independence Day. Basically everyone was out having a good old time partying. Everyone forgot about the missionaries. And it wasn't even Independence Day until today.  So basically that was life this week. They have all the high school's march for Independence Day. That's about it. I'll let you know next week if something crazy happens. I love you all

20 Years Old

Mom,

Well first off yes I did receive the birthday package last Monday. I got it after internet so I couldn't let you know. It's awesome we have already  made brownies and today we had pancakes. Thank you so much for all the yumminess. It really did make my week so much better. I also did make a withdrawl. So don't worry about that. It was me. I Have big plans for that money.

Well I'm so glad you have been going to college mom. It is sooo awesome that you have been improving yourself. I'm glad you are enjoying learning becasue many people don't like that at all. That is what this life is all about. Learning and growing.

So this week was pretty good. We were in Sicuani for 3 days. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Monday we had zone pday in Sicuani. Then we had all day Tuesday in Sicuani and I got to do work in my old sector Rosaspata. That was really awesome to go back to a place I was for so long to help alot of less actives that I knew there. Then that night, my pention from Sicuani threw me a suprise birthday party. So don't worry I got my birthday cake and a party. Then on my actual birthday we had a multizone conference with another zone and that was awesome. It was in pday clothes and we did some activites in the middle of no where and then listened to President. He talked about additude. Yup I really needed that. So then we get back to Espinar and find out that some of the investigators we have been working with got permission and wanted to get baptized this Saturday. SO we spent the rest of the week running around to get the baptism ready. Im sending pictures in dropbox. So all in all it was a pretty crazy week. I'm glad its all over because the last couple of days were super stressful with the baptism, but it was totally worth it. I love y'all so much and pray for y'all every day.

Another Week

Mom,

Well, this week went by so fast. The work is still going just very slow. This week we received some new numbers that we have to count. We have to count how many people we teach family history to. It's been great because we get to hasten the work on this side of the veil and on the other side too. It's been really cool. I just can wait to actually get into family history when I get back. I haven't been able to see any of the pictures yet because the internet is soooooooo slow. I'll be praying for dad for his surgery. It should go really good. Hey so if you haven't sent a package yet for my birthday please send me that giant thing of gummy bears. That would be awesome. Funny story of this week.... We had like a pack of 13 year old girls following us and taking pictures of us with their phones for like 15 minutes. It was really fun! We found one new person that possibly could be ready. She's a friend of a member and her name is Edith. It's awesome that people are introducing us to people.

I love y'all so much.
